About Our Primary Therapist
Dustin Straight is more than just a Licensed Addiction Counselor; he's a compassionate guide on the journey to holistic healing and recovery. With a profound blend of professional expertise and personal experience, Dustin offers a unique approach that seamlessly integrates evidence-based modalities with ancient wisdom and philosophy. His mission is to support clients in breaking free from the repetition of addiction, fear, and limiting beliefs, empowering them to live authentically, purposefully, and with profound freedom.

Therapeutic Approach
Dustin's therapeutic toolbox is vast and varied, encompassing modalities that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. Drawing from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), mindfulness practices, Stoic philosophy, and Taoism, Dustin provides clients with a comprehensive toolkit for transformation. His approach is tailored to each individual, recognizing their unique needs, strengths, and aspirations.
Specialization in Trauma-Informed Care
Dustin specializes in addiction and co-occurring disorders, embracing a trauma-informed approach to healing. Co-occurring disorders, also known as dual diagnosis or comorbid disorders, present a complex challenge as they intertwine mental health issues with substance use disorders. Dustin recognizes the intricate interplay between trauma and addiction, and his approach emphasizes addressing underlying trauma to foster genuine and lasting recovery.
Navigating the Path to Holistic Healing and Recovery
“The most important kind of freedom is to be who you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your senses for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first. Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes.”
Jim Morrison
